Uses and Characteristics:
UV absorber UV-531 is an excellent, highly effective anti-aging agent that absorbs UV light in the 240-340 nm range. It features light color, non-toxicity, good compatibility, low migration, and easy processing. It provides maximum protection for polymers, helping to reduce discoloration, while also delaying yellowing and physical property loss. It is widely used in PE, PVC, PP, PS, PC, organic glass, polypropylene fiber, and ethylene vinyl acetate. It also provides excellent light stabilization for drying phenolic and alkyd varnishes, polyurethanes, acrylics, epoxies, and other air-drying products, as well as automotive refinish paints, powder coatings, polyurethanes, and rubber products. Dosage: 0.1%-0.5%.
Storage:
Avoid exposure to sunlight, humidity, and light stabilizers containing sulfur or halogen elements. Store in a sealed, dry, and dark place.
Chemical Properties:
Pale yellow crystals or white powder. Freely soluble in benzene, n-hexane, and acetone, slightly soluble in ethanol, and slightly soluble in ethylene dichloride.
Applications:
1> Primarily used as a light stabilizer for synthetic materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, and polyurethane rubber.
2> Widely used in PE, PVC, PP, PS, PC, polycarbonate, organic glass, polypropylene fiber, and vinyl acetate.
