🎯Biological activity and pharmacological effects

Sinensetin is a naturally methylated flavonoid found in citrus fruits. It possesses various biological activities and has thus attracted attention in the field of scientific research.
In terms of anti-inflammatory effects, it can alleviate inflammatory responses by inhibiting signaling pathways such as NF-κB, ERK1/2 MAPK, and p38 MAPK. In cancer research, studies have shown that it has cytotoxic effects on tumor cell lines such as Jurkat and CCRF-CEM, inducing cell apoptosis, and has a significant killing effect on liver cancer cells HepG2, while having a relatively minor impact on normal liver cells. Additionally, it has antiviral activity against influenza viruses, reducing the pro-inflammatory response triggered by the influenza A virus. In the field of metabolism research, Sinensetin was found to promote fatogenesis and lipolysis by increasing cAMP levels. In terms of cartilage protection, it can inhibit cartilage cell apoptosis, suppress the production of MMP13, and promote the formation of aggrecan and type II collagen.
In in vivo studies, for instance in a mouse model of paw edema induced by carrageenan, a single intraperitoneal injection of the compound at a dose of 50 mg/kg was able to effectively slow down the increase in paw volume caused by inflammation at 6 hours.

🔍Product Usage

This product is mainly used for research purposes such as content determination, qualitative identification, cell administration, and animal experiments. It is strictly prohibited for use on humans. Usually, an efficient liquid chromatography (HPLC) chromatogram and quality inspection report (COA) are provided with the product. Some suppliers may also offer nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS) identification chromatograms.

📦Packaging and Storage

When the powder form is stored in a sealed and dark environment at a temperature range of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, this compound can remain stable for up to 36 months. If it is prepared as a solution, it is recommended to use it immediately. For short-term storage, it can be aliquoted and frozen at -20 degrees Celsius, which can maintain stability for approximately 30 days. If it is frozen at -80 degrees Celsius, it can be preserved for up to 2 years. In any case, repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided to prevent the compound from losing its efficacy.
