It is mainly used in the care and treatment of skin injuries. In dentistry, Sucrose octasulfate Potassium salt can be used in local preparations to prevent and treat diseases of teeth or tooth-supporting tissues,also used as a reference standard for the drug Sucralfate.The combination of N,O-carboxymethyl chitosan and potassium or sodium salts of sucrose octasulfate exhibits a synergistic hydrophilic effect. The topical composition containing both as active ingredients can effectively absorb and retain moisture, slow down the loss of moisture through the skin, and maintain and restore the skin’s water balance.
