Applications;
In the industrial production of chemical catalytic curing, N-(2-HYDROXYETHYL)-N-METHYL-4-TOLUIDINE, as an important organic compound with catalytic curing properties, is increasingly widely used.
Preparation;
p-Toluidine, sodium hydroxide, and methanol are added sequentially to a reaction vessel. While stirring, the mixture is heated to 50-85℃. The temperature is maintained while adding an aminolysis initiator. Chloroethanol is gradually added while stirring. After the chloroethanol is added, the reaction is maintained at this temperature for 2-5 hours. Heating is then stopped, and the mixture is filtered and the filtrate is distilled to obtain N-(2-HYDROXYETHYL)-N-METHYL-4-TOLUIDINE.
