Fmoc-AEEA-AEEA is a coupling agent used in the synthesis of peptides or peptides. It is highly efficient, reactive and selective for the coupling of peptides and proteins. It is commonly used in solid phase synthesis, where amino acids are added sequentially to the growing chain. It can also be used in parallel synthesis processes after coupling with other coupling agents such as BOPCl or HATU.
 
Fmoc-AEEA-AEEA is a peptide analogue that is used for the acylation of lysine side chains in insulin and other peptides, in order to increase peptide clearance time and protease resistance in vivo. In addition, it is also used as a linker and is an optimised extended PEG-like junction.
