Cy3 maleimide is an orange-red fluorescent dye designed for site-specific labeling of thiol-containing biomolecules such as proteins, antibodies, and oligonucleotides. The maleimide group selectively reacts with sulfhydryl groups (-SH), forming stable thioether bonds.
