Plastics and Resin Processing
Used in the extrusion, injection molding, and calendaring of PVC products (such as transparent flexible sheets, cable compounds, artificial leather, pipes) to improve flowability and prevent mold sticking. Typical dosage is 0.5-3 phr. Also effective in processing Polystyrene, Vinyl Chloride-Acetate Copolymers, Nitrile Rubber, etc.
Coatings and Inks
Functions as a plasticizer for Nitrocellulose and Ethyl Cellulose, improving the gloss, water resistance, cold resistance, and scratch resistance of paint films. Can serve as a cosolvent for dyes in lipstick manufacturing.
