Functions:
4-tert-Butylcatechol can be used as a highly efficient polymerization inhibitor during the distillation or storage of olefin monomers; it is also used as an antioxidant for polymers such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polychloroprene, synthetic rubber, and nylon, as well as for various compounds such as oils and fats and their derivatives, ethyl cellulose, and lubricating oils. Furthermore, it can be used as a passivating agent for polyurethane catalysts, and as a stabilizer for pesticides and various organic compounds.
Applications:
At 60°C, this product has a polymerization inhibitory effect 25 times higher than hydroquinone, making it a highly efficient polymerization inhibitor for the distillation or storage of olefin monomers, especially for monomers such as styrene, butadiene, chloroprene, and isoprene. It is also used for vinyl chloride, vinylpyridine, α-olefins, nonene, cyclopentadiene, isoprene, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and its esters, chlorinated olefins, and polyurethanes. This product is also used as an antioxidant for polymers such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polychloroprene, synthetic rubber, and nylon, as well as an antioxidant for various compounds such as oils and fats and their derivatives, ethyl cellulose, lubricating oils, caprolactam, maleic anhydride, and tin-containing metal soaps. Furthermore, it can be used as a passivating agent for polyurethane catalysts, as a pesticide, and as a stabilizer for various organic compounds.
