Usage:
*Reagent: 2-Chloroethyl isothiocyanate is used as a reagent to synthesize Zanamivir (Z148000), a compound that acts as a selective inhibitor of Influenza A and B virus neuraminidases. 2-Chloroethyl isothiocyanate is also used as a reagent to synthesize heterocyclic compounds (e.g. Fluorescein 6-Isothiocyanate [F485705]).
*Pharmaceutical Intermediate: “It serves for the synthesis of thiourea, imidazole and thiazole drug molecules, acting as a key raw material to introduce the isothiocyanate active group.
It is applied to prepare intermediates for antibiotics, anthelmintics and anti-tumor drugs, as well as structural fragments of certain anti-allergy and central nervous system medicines.
It can modify amino groups on drug molecules to construct targeted pharmacophores in a directional manner.”
