  1. Liposomal Drug Delivery (Core)
    • Forms negatively charged, stable liposomes to prevent particle aggregation and membrane fusion, maintaining uniform particle size.
    • Classic use in bupivacaine liposomes (EXPAREL) to form multivesicular structures for 72-hour long-acting sustained release.
    • Used in amphotericin B liposomes to inhibit membrane fusion, enhancing stability and safety.
    • Facilitates tumor-targeted delivery; negatively charged liposomes promote anticancer drug entry into cancer cells.
  2. Biomembrane & Research
    • Constructs bacterial/mitochondrial inner membrane models to study membrane protein function and lipid-protein interactions.
